Introducing Tree's House
menTours — Men Teaching Ours

Men Teaching Ours
menTours brings the reflections, creativity, and lived wisdom of men participating in the SAGE Experience to people of all generations, with a special commitment to reaching our young people.
Through their work on grief, accountability, empathy, forgiveness, and other meaningful assignments, the men share what they are learning about themselves, their relationships, and the impact of their choices. Their contributions explore life skills, emotional awareness, community building, teamwork, belonging, decision-making, and self-empowerment.
Featured also on our YouTube channel, menTours invites you to learn alongside them, to consider your own experiences, recognize when you need support, and discover tools you can apply in everyday life. For younger generations, these reflections offer opportunities to learn from someone else’s experience while finding their own voice and direction.
These men have something to contribute. menTours creates a place for their work to reach beyond prison walls and become a resource for families, classrooms, and communities.

Bring menTours to Your Community

Through reflections, creative work, and practical activities, we explore grief, emotional awareness, accountability, empathy, forgiveness, relationships, decision-making, and belonging. Experiences can be adapted for different ages and settings, with particular care for supporting our young people.

SAFETY

The Power of Your Name

Before we begin building a community, we begin with your name. Who gave it to you? What story does it carry? How do you feel when someone says it? For some of us, our names hold love, history, and belonging. For others, they carry expectations, painful memories, or meanings we have yet to discover. This experience gives us space to explore what we have inherited and what we choose to carry forward.

A foundation of safety begins when we can introduce ourselves in our own words and trust that others will listen with care. It's being able to share the story of our name, remember that we have a name, and building your own identity.

Our names become the first building blocks of the neighborhood we are creating together. As we learn the stories behind them, we practice listening, respecting differences, and recognizing one another’s humanity.

Find your name below and reflect on your own story. The meaning is an invitation to explore, rather than a definition you must live up to.

In SAGE, Safety is our foundation. Part of building that foundation is knowing that you have room to discover, express, and become yourself. Your name can be a place to begin.
